Colorado Coonhound Rescue and Adoption Service is an IRS recognized 501(c)3 and Colorado Dept. of Agriculture licensed non-profit charity working to rehome homeless coonhounds and bloodhounds, educate the public on big hound ownership and work with the American Scent Hound Association on placements of dogs for Scent Tracking.

Feel free to email for more information or if you know of a homeless hound and would like their information posted here. We hope to decrease the amount of coonhounds in shelters and work together to place them in great homes and family environments.

Donatable items such as towels, blankets, dog bed, leashes, collars, harnesses, dog food and treats are always needed and welcome.

Coonhound Rescue is MORE than happy to advertise your coonie or bloodhound if you have to give them up, however, we HAVE LIMITED FOSTER HOMES, NO INCOME STREAM and NO FACILITY.

We are MORE than happy to work with any behavioral or management issues you have so that you can keep your dog.

The state of the economy has strapped us as well. We've been requested lately to give out money so people can keep their animals, we cannot do that.
